Omnipaque
Technique:
Wrap foot and ankle in tight Ace Bandage for 1 hour
Stand patient up
Tourniquet around ankle and keep it on ankle while injecting
Stick with large (21G and up) needle
Inject 100 cc nonionic contrast and then keep needle flushed with
normal saline
to decrease rate of thrombophlebitis
Take AP, LAO, RAO views of calf/knee/thigh with patient standing and
tourniquet on
Lay patient down (45 degrees or less) and pop tourniquet and get shot
of iliacs and IVC
