Take scout film of chest
Using clean technique, prep the catheter port.
Check return and flush the port with 5 cc sterile saline.
Take spot film of entire catheter
Inject contrast to fill the line, take spot film of entire catheter to check for leaks
Inject contrast continuously, take spot film of entire catheter to check for leaks
Inject contrast continuously, take spot film of tip of catheter to check for thrombus or fibrin sheath
At the end of the study flush the line with 5 cc of sterile saline and 5 cc of heparin flush.

AP spot centered on entire catheter filled with contrast
AP spot centered on entire catheter while injecting through the line
AP spot centered on catheter tip while injecting through the line
