Axial and coronal T2 weighted images from an MRI performed at 3 months of age show the mass to be cystic and to involve the perimandibular region with sublingual, submandibular, maxillary and parapharyngeal extension, surrounding the carotid sheath and extending superiorly to involve the right orbit and periorbital region. There is marked airway narrowing. There is no mediastinal or intracranial involvement. There is bilateral disease but it is more prominent on the right. No high flow vessels are seen.
