Lateral and AP views from a barium enema performed with Cysto-Conray (just after a digital rectal exam by the clinicians) on the third day of life shows the size of the rectum to be approximately the size of the sigmoid colon, but no definite transition zone was observed. The colon was of a normal caliber, and was filled with meconium.
